Dedication of plaques on the Beit Knesset Memorial boards - Donation to the Beit Kneset

This is the  link to the portal, where you will be able to enter the details of your departed loved ones, and make your donation.

We are sending the first batch of plaque names for engraving towards the end of this month - we expect the next batch to be engraved  in a few months time.

You will be guided through the process of  naming plaques, how to add loved ones not currently in the portal, and adding the year of passing.

There are 12 boards in the mens section of the Beit Knesset - one for each month of the year - and another 12 in the hallway outside the ladies gallery, so that the boards will be visible to all who donate. Of course you can choose to dedicate any gender on any board (so husbands may want to dedicate both  their parents in the mens’ section, and women both their parents outside the ladies gallery). Note also that we will be moving the womens’ boards further along the hallway from where they are currently installed - where all 12 boards will be located together)

Currently, dedications can be made for first degree departed loved ones only.

The donation  for each plaque for Amuta members is ₪ 1,000 up to a maximum of ₪ 3,000, irrespective of the number of plaques ordered during one payment session. The donation for each plaque for non-Amuta members is 1,500₪.

The Vaad felt that this donation amount was reasonable - particularly when comparing with other Batei Knesset in the area.

The donation entitles the plaque to be placed on the memorial board for a period of 10 years. Future Beit Knesset Vaadot will determine renewal cost, if any.

We fully understand that most Batei Knesset do not adopt this renewal method, but the Vaad felt that offering plaques in perpetuity  may raise challenges in the future, as the amount of wall space available is limited. Please note that plaques will not be removed after 10 years. Donors will have the option to renew.

We pray that the memory of all our dear departed loved ones should serve as blessings and מליצי יושר - and may we all only know of joy and happiness.
