Expanding Torah Learning in Our Beit Midrash

B’ezrat Hashem, this coming Rosh Chodesh Elul we are proud to warmly welcome the students of the Beit Midrash for Post-Army Graduates in Ra’anana, together with its leaders, Rav Peretz Eirnhorn and Rav Or Shuaka.

This unique initiative will bring post-army graduates and students from across the country into our Beit Midrash for a full day of Torah learning — or a partial framework — guided by its rabbanim. Their presence will fill the Beit Midrash with energy and the sound of Torah throughout the day.

In addition to the core weekly learning program, Rav Peretz and Rav Or will also be introducing other Torah learning initiatives in our Beit Midrash. These include:

A monthly women’s Torah shiur, providing an opportunity for women in our community to gather, learn, and be inspired.

Special intensive learning days (ימי עיון) with visiting rabbis from across Israel, offering a deep and diverse Torah learning experience.

The program will officially launch this evening in our Beit Midrash with a festive evening of shiurim and learning, as well as an opportunity to meet the rabbis who will be giving shiurim and leading the learning.

We take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to the Eretz Hemdah Kollel for the enormous contribution it has made to our community over the years, and for all the Torah learning it has inspired. While Eretz Hemdah will be phasing out, Rav Yitzhak Steinberg — who founded the Kollel at BKOA — will be staying on, continuing with the sponsorship of Eretz Hemdah to give shiurim, learn in chavrutot (and we encourage everyone to speak with him about learning), and to run Eretz Hemdah Kollel programs. In this way, he will continue to contribute to our community in his unique and valued way.

Looking ahead: In addition to the Rav Peretz Eirnhorn Program, there are several other autonomous learning initiatives on the horizon, which will also be hosted in our Beit Midrash. These programs will address a variety of needs within our community and the broader community, further strengthening our role as a hub of Torah learning and connection.

Our Beit Midrash will continue to host all existing programs and remains open to anyone wishing to learn in chavrutot or individually. All these programs are self-funding and autonomous, with the understanding that both the community and the program initiators will review and reflect together in the future to ensure they continue to serve our shared goals.

We look forward to these exciting developments and will share more details with the community as they unfold.

We extend our heartfelt bracha to Rav Or, Rav Peretz, and all the participants — may their learning be fruitful and uplifting.
