As we celebrate the wonderful events of today — bringing hope for the return of our Chatufim and an end to the fighting — this year’s Simchat Torah will be a bittersweet celebration, joyful dancing intertwined with sadness and gratitude.
As we did last year, we’ll be dancing with the special me’ilim — Torah covers dedicated in honour and memory of the brave soldiers from our own and neighbouring communities who gave their lives defending Am Yisrael.
Although in the evening we will be arranging a quicker minyan in the Beit Midrash, we encourage everyone to show solidarity and join us in the main shul, where the Hakafot will be led by families of the fallen.
